Ordway offers subscription and usage-based billing for SaaS companies



Platform Description

Ordway is a billing and revenue automation platform that is specifically designed for today’s innovative business models. With Ordway you can automate billing, revenue recognition, and investor KPIs for recurring revenue models built on subscription and usage-based pricing.

Ordway integrates directly with your CRM system to capture the details of new sales orders, upgrades, and renewal contracts. It uses the product, pricing, and payment information from the contract to generate the related billing and accounting.

The four key modules of Ordway’s platform are:

1)Subscription and Usage Billing
Ordway can automate invoice generation for complex subscriptions with multiple tiers, add-ons, and mid-contract changes like upgrades and early renewals. It automates usage-based billing as well. The rating engine can ingest usage data directly from your product for complex contracts with prepaid credits and monthly minimums.

2)Payments and Collections
Customers can set up automated recurring payments or route invoices to their accounts payable department for processing via ACH, wire, check, or card. Aging reports enable collections teams to track outstanding receivables and automate dunning workflows such as past due reminders or failed payment retries.

3)Revenue Recognition
Ordway performs GAAP accounting to comply with the ASC 606 and IFRS 15 revenue recognition standards. Journal entries are housed in a dedicated sub ledger and can be published to your general ledger or ERP.

4) SaaS Metrics Reporting
Ordway enables rapid calculation of investor KPIs including MRR/ARR, top customers, and revenue growth by product line, geographic region, or market segment. Retention metrics such as churn, renewal rates, and Net Dollar Retention.

Using Ordway reduces your dependency on the spreadsheets and manual processes that work well when you are small, but don’t scale as you grow.
